memoria descriptiva

short description

The site: a round-about of an industrial park in the outskirts of a small village in Andalucía. Any place with no remarkable context: a filling station close by, some warehouses, no vegetation. The government of the city council seeks a light sculpture.

The project we propose is a romantic suburban park, a lightscape build of materials and ready-mades associated with motorised traffic: light pillars, recycled glass, reflectors, mirrors, tires, polished concrete with yellow street painting among others. Surrounded by new planted palm trees and bushes, the renovated round-about appears like a mirror of the moon, doubled and artificial. At night time it emits lights just as mysterious, distant and romantic as the moon.

To be contemplated not only while driving past, a hide for two persons in five meters height is projected.
